Finding Nemo

Equilibrium - Nemo is swimming about at his home in the ocean and swims up to the edge and sees a boat.
Disruption - Nemo listens to his mates who told him to touch the boat and does it, he gets grabbed out of the water and taken away.
Recognition -Nemo realises that his chances of finding his parents again is slim.
Attemps to resolve-His dad tries to find to find him.
Climax- Nemo pretends he's dead and gets flushed down the toilet into the ocean.
Closure - Dory , Nemo and his dad all reunite and go back to how things always were.

  Ferris Buller's day off  Its a linear narrative film and starts out with an opening shot of  Ferris's house(the protaganist) which is a fairly big house which suggests the wealth or what kind of neighbourhood he lives in. It catches the audiences attention very quickly because Ferris talks to the viewer by looking down the camera and gives them tips on how to skip school and lie to your parents. By talking directly to us it really catches our attention because it feels like he is talking to us. He comes off as a very likeable and witty  person to the audience which makes us invested on his day. Its set in the 80s and we can see this through mis-en-scene(hair and make-up and costume) and also the text aesthetic to open the film is very simplistic. The Grinch

The Grinch Todorovs'  Narrative theory Equilibrium- Everyone is packing  for christmas Disruption - The grinch goes to everybodys house in whoville to take their presents. Recognition - Everybody wakes up to no presemts! Repair - They invite mr grinch for a christmas party and change him new equilibrium. Henry Jenkins -genre constantly breaking rules The Grinch is constantly doing this its like its being lots of genres at once , comedy,family and fantasy. Mise-en-scene Costumes -In the Grinch we see all the normal people wearing fancy clothes their shoes are all curly like elf's which relate to  Christmas. The Grinch played by Jim Carey is seen as an outsider because his really hairy green body. Props- T he red car to grab attention and talk about what Christmas is all about such as its all about gifts and not family and the burnt down Christmas tree.
